RG Consultancy are working with a fantastic SME in Rochdale who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their finance team. You will join a small accounts team, being responsible for the company & management accounts, reporting into the Finance Manager.

Role Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts
- Reviewing bookkeeping, ledgers and financial transactions
- Checking bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Reviewing journals, accruals, prepayments and VAT reconciliations
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes
- Monitoring the accuracy of financial records
- Reviewing payroll and resolving accounting queries
- Providing financial reports and information to management
- Liaising with external accountants and auditors
- Improving accounting processes and financial controls
Person Specification
- Experienced management accountant with at least 5 years' experience within a similar role
- Strong IT skills along with strong MS Excel skills and experience with accounting packages incusing SAGE & SAGE Payroll
- Part or qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA
- Experience working within a retail, distribution or wholesale environment would be an advantage
