Overview: Responsible for a portfolio exceeding £60m annual turnover and leading over 500 operational and engineering colleagues across Scotland, the Operations Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across RFM's education, healthcare, Government and emergency services portfolio, ensuring safe, compliant and commercially successful service delivery. The role is responsible for operational leadership, financial performance, client relationships, compliance, and service excellence across multiple contracts, leading all operational functions comprising management, engineering and specialist supply chain partners. The Operations Director will play a key role in driving performance, supporting long‑term contract strategy, and delivering high‑quality outcomes for clients and end users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Regional Operations Managers, Contract Managers, and technical specialists, creating a high‑performance culture focused on accountability, safety and service excellence.
- Operational leadership of hard and soft FM services across multiple contracts (PFI and Non PFI contracts in public and private sectors).
- Contribute to the strategic direction of RFM Scotland, identifying opportunities for growth, innovation and operational improvement.
- Ensure contractual compliance, KPIs, and SLAs are consistently met or exceeded.
