Contract: Full-time, permanent
Annualised Hours:
- 1st April – 31st Oct: Monday – Thursday 7am – 5pm, Friday 7am – 2.30pm.
- 1st Nov – 31st March: Monday – Thursday 8am – 4pm, Friday OFF.
What You’ll Do:
- Regular Astro Turf grooming, brushing, and cleaning of synthetic turf using specialized power brushes and drag mats.
- Checking and topping up sand or rubber infill levels to ensure proper shock absorption and player safety.
- Removing debris (litter, leaves, moss) through sweeping, vacuuming, or blowing.
- Repairing damaged, torn, or worn seams and lines.
- Safely operating, maintaining, and cleaning tractors, specialized synthetic turf grooming equipment, and vehicles.
- Completing site reports, including photos, to send to management regarding the condition of the pitch.
- Ensuring all work adheres to health and safety regulations (e.g., COSHH) and identifying, treating, or reporting moss/weed growth.
- Occasionally assisting with surrounding area maintenance, such as hard surfaces, fencing, and winter tasks like snow clearance.
What You’ll Need:
- At least 2 years of experience of Astro Turf Maintenance, preferable and including 3G, 4G, and artificial turf pitches.
- Practical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work with machinery.
- Willingness to travel across Carnoustie, Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen City, Dundee, Forfar.
- Ability to work as part of the Carnoustie team covering multiple sites in the North East of Scotland.
- Availability for extra hours leading up to the start of a season or during specific events.
- A full, valid driver’s license; role is field-based requiring travel between sites.
- A van, trailer and equipment will be supplied.
- Successful candidates will require a PVG/Disclosure Check.
