Formed in 2018, RFL Property Services is a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Free London Foundation Trust and has embarked on a journey of transformational change in the way estate services are delivered within the NHS.

We are seeking an inspirational senior project/programme management professional with passion, resilience and technical competence to lead our capital projects team for the strategic development of RFLPS’s customer sites (both internal and external customers). This role involves taking authority and responsibility for the management, co-ordination and delivery of the Trust Capital Programme, ensuring business development and occupier criteria are met in line with agreed time, cost and quality objectives whilst minimising the impact of projects on trust income, patient experience and operational activity.

Main duties of the job:

  • Lead the formation and delivery of RFLPS customers’ long term capital plan working with clinical divisions and corporate functions to ensure adequate funding is provided to meet the long-term Trust objectives.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Capital team for all aspects of estates development.
  • Be part of the drive to deliver additional external commissions with associated revenues to RFLPS, delivering high quality solutions to all clients.
  • Engage with Executive, Divisional and general managers to ensure the Capital plan accurately reflects the needs and requirements of the Trust operational services.
  • Work closely with the Director of Financial control to ensure the Capital Plan meets the requirements of Monitor reporting.
  • Provide Capital planning expertise to the Executive team to support service and business change.

What do we need?

  • Educated to degree level Chartered Surveyor level (MRICs) or equivalent.
  • Professional qualification in project/programme management or similar.
  • Significant years of experience post RICS/CIOB.
  • Proven experience of strategic and operational stages of project development & management.
  • A proven leader with proven multi-disciplinary Estate strategy, Construction, project funding & Property Management experience.
