The opportunity

We are looking for a mid to senior-level Unity UI Developer to join the Rezzil team and help bring our games and performance applications to life in-engine.

This is not a pure UI/UX design role.

We are looking for someone who lives and breathes Unity, understands how interface systems are built inside real-time products, and can take designs from Figma and turn them into polished, responsive, production-ready Unity UI.

You will work closely with our design, game design, art and development teams, but your core responsibility will be implementation.

You will take layouts, flows, and visual direction from the design team, build them properly in Unity, add animation, transitions, feedback states, and interaction polish, and make sure the final experience feels sharp, intuitive, and professional.

The ideal person will have strong Unity UI experience, good visual judgement, and a clear understanding of how players move through games and interactive applications.

  • What you’ll do
  • Build and implement UI directly in Unity across Rezzil’s games and performance applications.
  • Take Figma layouts, wireframes and design assets and convert them into functional, polished in-engine UI.
  • Create responsive Unity UI screens, menus, HUDs, overlays, onboarding flows, settings screens, dashboards and interaction states.
  • Add animation, transitions, feedback, timing and micro-interactions to improve the feel and quality of the user experience.
  • Work with game designers to implement player flows, menus, progression screens and in-game interaction points.
  • Work with the design team to ensure visual designs are translated accurately and intelligently into Unity.
  • Build reusable UI prefabs, components and systems that can be maintained across products.
  • Collaborate with developers to connect UI to game systems, data, logic and product features.
  • Optimise UI for performance across mobile, VR, console and real-time applications.
  • Identify practical implementation issues early and suggest better in-engine solutions where needed.
  • Support testing, iteration and polish during production.
  • Help raise the quality bar for UI implementation across Rezzil products.
  • What we’re looking for
  • Strong hands-on Unity experience, specifically building and implementing UI.
  • Experience using Unity UI systems such as Canvas, Rect Transform, layout groups, prefabs, animation, UI components and responsive layouts.
  • Ability to take designs from Figma and recreate them accurately inside Unity.
  • Good understanding of game UI, player feedback, interaction flow and interface behaviour.
  • Strong visual judgement, including layout, spacing, hierarchy, typography, colour and motion.
  • Experience adding polish through transitions, animation, feedback states and interaction details.
  • Comfortable working with designers, artists, game designers and programmers.
  • Ability to think technically and creatively when solving UI implementation problems.
  • Experience building UI that works across different screen sizes, devices and platforms.
  • Good understanding of performance considerations when building UI in Unity.
  • A portfolio, showreel or examples that demonstrate in-engine UI work, not just static design work.
  • Mid to senior-level experience in games, interactive applications, real-time products or similar.
  • A portfolio or examples showing your Unity UI work.
  • Professional Unity experience.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing UI inside Unity.
  • Ability to work from Figma files.
  • Strong understanding of game or app user experience.
  • UK-based.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid or flexible team environment with Manchester and London-based colleagues.
  • Sports games, fitness products, performance tools or data-led application experience.
  • VR, console or cross-platform UI experience.
  • C# knowledge for UI integration and prototyping.
  • Experience with Unity animation, Timeline, shaders, particles or visual effects for UI polish.
  • Experience working on live products and improving UI based on player behaviour, testing or feedback.
  • Technical art experience.
  • Experience creating reusable UI systems or component libraries.
  • What this role is not

This is not a Unity Programmer-only role.

This is not a pure product design role.

This is not a role for someone who only wants to create static screens in Figma.

This is not a web or app design role with occasional Unity exposure.

We need someone who is at home inside Unity and can turn good designs into great in-engine experiences.

The kind of person we think will do well

You’ll be someone who enjoys making UI feel good, not just look good.

You’ll care about timing, feedback, animation, responsiveness and how every interaction feels to the player or user.

You’ll be comfortable taking direction from designers and game designers, but you’ll also know when something needs to change in Unity to make it work properly.

You’ll understand the gap between a flat design and a finished product, and you’ll be the person who closes that gap.

You do not need to be the person setting the whole visual direction from scratch, but you do need strong taste, good judgement and the ability to add the final layer of polish that makes an interface feel premium.
