We are seeking experienced Red Meat & Poultry Butcher / Caterer, to join us as we continue to strengthen and expand our business.
Working in a chilled environment boning, trimming and preparing red meat primal cuts and portioning / cutting to exact customer specifications (Beef, Pork, Lamb, Poultry).
Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Following the company’s food safety culture through production and cleaning.
- Preparing meat to customer specification, including boning, trimming, tying, portioning to specification to make it easier for the customer.
- Portioning cutting Steaks and chops to exact customer weight specification.
- Maintaining personal hygiene, work rules including the clean as you go policy with clean workstations to reduce the risk of food contamination.
- Complying with PPE requirements and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Maintaining batch coding and traceability with goods in process.
- Storing meat and goods in the correct facilities and temperature-controlled areas.
- Fulfilment of orders.
- Ensuring waste is minimal and you work in a cost-efficient manner.
We are looking for applicants with the following skills, attributes, and experience:
- Previous butchery, boning, trimming and portion control experience.
- Must be willing to work with both Halal and Non-Halal products.
- Able to prove experience on a Block test.
- Ability to portion control Steaks and various cuts essential to a high standard.
- Good work ethic and ability to function as a part of a team.
- All candidates need to have a good understanding of the English Language be able to read orders and specifications.
- Must have the right work UK.
- Industry recognised qualification is an advantage, but not essential with a high level of experience.
