Location: Hainault, East London

Salary: £35,689.68

Hours: 54 Hours per week. 6am – 3pm (Monday to Saturday)

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced, dedicated and reliable Van Driver to deliver our products to various locations in and around London & the home counties.

Previous experience as a professional Van Driver (3.5t vehicle), with a strong geographical knowledge of central London & the home counties are essential requirements, as you will be responsible for ensuring that all deliveries are completed in full and within the specified timescales.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Safely operate a manual 3.5t van to deliver fresh produce to multiple locations including central London areas as per schedule.
  • Load and unload raw meat with care to maintain quality and freshness during transportation/delivery.
  • Provide an efficient, friendly service to create and maintain a client-driven environment and ensure that all queries are dealt with efficiently and politely.
  • Keep accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance and any incidents or issues encountered and report them directly to the Transport Manager.
  • Responsible for the security of the Company property and customer access keys.
  • Maintaining the security of the customers’ premises during and after entering the premises.
  • Adhere with Company Policy in relation to personal hygiene, presentation, health and safety and housekeeping.
  • Maintaining Company Security policy, ensuring that any suspicious incidents are reported to Senior Management.
  • Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

We are seeking applicants with the following skills, attributes, and experience:

  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and no more than six points on licence.
  • Over the age of 25 (for Insurance purposes).
  • Sound geographical knowledge of London and home counties.
  • Physically fit, must be able to lift up to 25kg.
