Location: Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire

Salary: £32,500

Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week (core hours 9am-6pm, flexibility required)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Skills Trainer to support our fast-paced warehouse and logistics operation by delivering engaging, practical MHE, FLT and warehouse training across our sites. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong warehouse operations experience and practical knowledge of Reach Truck, Counterbalance and warehouse processes. You will work closely with operational teams to develop safe working practices, improve standards, and support colleague development across the business. AITT or RTITB instructor qualifications are desirable, but training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver MHE, FLT, warehouse process and health & safety training for new starters, existing colleagues and agency staff
  • Provide training and assessments on Reach Truck, Counterbalance and PPT equipment
  • Conduct inductions, refresher training, cross-training and practical assessments
  • Support regional depots and subsidiary sites with on-site warehouse and forklift training where required
  • Work with management teams to plan and coordinate training schedules
  • Maintain accurate training records, certifications and compliance documentation
  • Promote safe systems of work and improve MHE driving standards through coaching and observation
  • Carry out daily MHE audits and support remedial actions with Fleet teams
  • Review and improve training materials and delivery methods
  • Provide general operational and administrative support where required

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience within a warehouse, logistics or distribution centre environment
  • Previous warehouse training, FLT training or coaching experience
  • Practical experience operating Reach Truck and Counterbalance trucks (essential)
  • PPT experience desirable
  • AITT or RTITB Instructor qualification desirable (training can be provided)
  • Confident delivering training in both classroom and practical environments
  • Strong communication and coaching skills
  • Organised, proactive and able to adapt within a fast-paced 24/7 operation
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Flexible approach to support operational training requirements when needed
