About The Role
Warehouse Operative in a chilled warehouse environment located at Waltham Cross. Works in the Banana Room team. Salary £27,742 per annum. 40 hours per week on a 5 out of 7 shift pattern (including weekends). Shift hours: 09:00am – 18:00pm.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work in a Chilled Environment: Comfortable working in temperatures ranging from 3°C to 5°C.
- Physical Tasks: Lift and move products weighing up to 25kg, requiring good physical fitness.
- Order Picking & Preparation: Accurately pick and prepare bananas for production, ensuring seamless daily operations.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock records and uphold product quality standards.
- Technology Use: Operate handheld devices (HHD) to efficiently pick and pack customer orders.
- Quality Control: Report missing, damaged, or incorrect items to the team leader or manager.
- Safe Handling & Packaging: Ensure safe assembly of products on pallets, avoiding damage or compression.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment like counterbalance and reach trucks.
- Health & Safety: Follow strict health and safety guidelines while working both independently and as part of a team.
