After you pass the theory and obtain your Class 2 licence, you’ll drive a 7.5T vehicle for up to 8 weeks to gain experience, then move to an HGV Class 2 assessment. Salary starts at £31,725 during training and rises as you gain experience, with a top rate of £37,360 on full qualification.
