Hours: 54 Hours per week. 6am – 3pm (Monday to Saturday)
Location: Hainault, East London
Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced, dedicated and reliable Van Driver to deliver our products to various locations in and around London & the home counties. Previous experience as a professional Van Driver (3.5t vehicle), with a strong geographical knowledge of central London & the home counties is essential. You will be responsible for ensuring that all deliveries are completed in full and within the specified timescales.
Duties:
- Safely operate a manual 3.5t van to deliver fresh produce to multiple locations including central London areas as per schedule.
- Load and unload raw meat with care to maintain quality and freshness during transportation/delivery.
- Provide an efficient, friendly service to create and maintain a client-driven environment and ensure that all queries are dealt with efficiently and politely.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance and any incidents or issues encountered and report them directly to the Transport Manager.
- Responsible for the security of the Company property and customer access keys.
- Maintaining the security of the customers’ premises during and after entering the premises.
- Adhere with Company Policy in relation to personal hygiene, presentation, health and safety and housekeeping.
- Maintaining Company Security policy, ensuring that any suspicious incidents are reported to Senior Management.
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence and no more than six points on licence.
- Over the age of 25 (for Insurance purposes).
- Sound geographical knowledge of London and home counties.
- Physically fit, must be able to lift up to 25kg.
