3.5T Multidrop Van Driver- Davin Foods
Location: Barking, Essex
Salary: Β£26,208
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours per week .
Shifts: Start Time 03:00am (Monday-Friday)
The role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, forward thinking, and ambitious person to join our driving operation in Barking.
Previous experience as a professional Van Driver (3.5t vehicle), with a strong geographical knowledge of central London & the home counties are essential requirements, as you will be responsible for insuring that all deliveries are completed in full and within the specified timescales. You will also be required to collect produce for London markets and on occasions from Heathrow Airport too! Heavy Lifting is involved within this role.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Safely operate a manual 3.5t van to deliver fresh produce to multiple locations including central London areas as per schedule.
- Load and unloading fresh produce with care to maintain quality and freshness during transportation/delivery.
- Provide an efficient, friendly service to create and maintain a client-driven environment and ensure that all queries are dealt with efficiently and politely.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance and any incidents or issues encountered and report them directly to the Transport Supervisor.
- Responsible for the security of the Company property and customer access keys. Maintaining the security of the customers\β premises during and after entering the premises.
- Adhere with Company Policy in relation to personal hygiene, presentation, health and safety and housekeeping.
- Maintaining Company Security policy, ensuring that any suspicious incidents are reported to Senior Management.
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
We are seeking applicants with the following skills, attributes, and experience:
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence and no more than six points on licence.
- Over the age of 25 (for Insurance purposes).
- Sound geographical knowledge of London and home counties.
- Forklift Licence (advantageous, but not essential).
- Physically fit, must be able to lift to 25kg of fresh produce.
