Reynco Ltd are delighted to be supporting a well-established specialist contractor within the building envelope sector in their search for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on an initial 12-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to take commercial ownership of high-value construction projects, working within an experienced team on a negotiable day-rate basis.

Senior Quantity Surveyor (Contract)

About the Company

Our client is an established specialist contractor (Building Envelope) Working alongside some of the country's leading principal contractors, they have built a strong reputation for quality, collaboration and delivering complex projects safely, on programme and within budget.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for one or more live projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with the Commercial Manager and wider project delivery team.

Key responsibilities include

  • Managing all commercial aspects of projects from contract award through to final account.
  • Administering NEC and JCT forms of contract, including variations, compensation events and contractual notices.
  • Preparing CVRs, forecasts, cost reporting and monthly commercial reporting.
  • Procuring and managing subcontractor packages, including valuations, payments and final accounts.
  • Identifying and managing commercial risk and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supporting client commercial meetings and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Working collaboratively with operational teams to ensure commercial objectives align with programme delivery.
  • Mentoring junior members of the commercial team where appropriate.
  • The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to step into a senior-level contract role.
  • Strong background working within roofing, cladding, façades, building envelope or the wider construction sector.
  • Excellent working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation and contractual management skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple subcontractor packages on live construction projects.
  • Highly organised with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to work on-site in North London.
