We’re working with a market leading manufacturer within the roofing and building envelope sector who are continuing to strengthen their presence across the refurbishment market. Due to continued growth and investment, they are now looking to appoint a National Business Development Manager to drive specification led growth across the UK. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a strong background in building relationships and winning business within the refurbishment specifier space, whether from a roofing or wider building envelope product background.

With a strong presence across both refurbishment and new build sectors, the business continues to invest heavily into sustainable solutions, technical development and long term market growth across the UK.

The Role

This is a national specification focused business development role, responsible for driving growth within the refurbishment market through the development of key specifier, consultant and client relationships. The successful individual will play a strategic role in influencing project opportunities, supporting technically robust proposals and helping to drive a specifier led sales approach across the UK. You will work closely with internal technical and commercial teams, whilst building relationships externally with architects, consultants, contractors and asset owners operating within the refurbishment sector.

Core Responsibilities

  • Build and develop high value relationships within the refurbishment specifier market
  • Identify and secure new project opportunities across roofing and building envelope refurbishment schemes
  • Influence specifications and support technically compliant proposal development
  • Deliver regional and national growth plans aligned with business objectives
  • Represent the business across networking events, CPDs and industry engagement activities
  • Support the adoption and promotion of technical systems and refurbishment solutions within the UK market
  • Maintain CRM accuracy, pipeline reporting and commercial forecasting
  • Work collaboratively with national teams to support project conversion and client retention

The Ideal Candidate

We are keen to speak with commercially driven business development professionals who understand the refurbishment marketplace and have a proven ability to build long term relationships within the specification community. You will ideally have:

  • Strong experience within roofing, waterproofing or wider building envelope products
  • Proven track record of developing specifier and client relationships
  • Experience winning business within the refurbishment sector
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to communicate product solutions effectively
  • Self sufficient and capable of operating autonomously within a national role
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • CRM and commercial reporting experience
