Reynco are partnered with a leading UK manufacturer of roofing, waterproofing and building-envelope systems who are looking to appoint a Technical Roofing Adviser to their growing technical team. This position would be a great opportunity for someone with hands-on roofing installation experience who wants to move into a technical, office-based role, where they can use their practical roofing knowledge to help customers with product specifications and technical queries.

Location: Derbyshire (office-based)

Package: £30,000 – £40,000 (dependent on experience), Generous pension contribution, Healthcare scheme, 24 days holiday (rising with service), Development programmes + more!

Hours: 8:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday

The Role

As Technical Roofing Adviser, you’ll be part of a friendly, experienced team, providing technical advice and support of roofing systems to customers and colleagues across the business. You’ll use your understanding of roofing systems to interpret technical drawings, put together specifications, and answer technical queries, helping to ensure products are installed and specified correctly from the start. You’ll also get full training on the company’s systems, products, and technical standards, so if you’ve got the right attitude and roofing knowledge, they’ll help you develop the rest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting customers and contractors with technical advice on queries relating to roofing products/systems.
  • Helping to prepare roofing specification details and documentation.
  • Reviewing technical drawings and providing guidance on installation and performance.
  • Advising on product selection and best practice in line with building regulations.
  • Assisting the technical team with creating and checking product information.
  • Staying up to date with relevant technical and industry changes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive experience in hands-on roofing system installation (essential).
  • Strong understanding of flat roofing systems (single ply, liquid, bituminous, hot melt).
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting drawings.
  • Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new tools.
  • A positive, professional approach with a desire to grow your career in a technical environment.
