We are currently supporting the search for a Project Director to lead the delivery of major façade and cladding projects across the UK and Europe. This is a senior leadership position focused on overseeing large-scale, technically complex schemes while strengthening long-term client relationships across key accounts.

Our client is a well-established façade and cladding specialist delivering high-value envelope packages across complex commercial and data-driven developments. They have built a strong reputation for delivering technically demanding projects, particularly within the hyperscale data centre market, where programme certainty, quality and commercial control are critical. With a growing pipeline of large-scale projects, they are now looking to appoint a Project Director to take ownership of their flagship schemes and play a key role in client relationship development at a strategic level.
The Role
This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple high-value façade projects, typically up to £15M in value. You will operate at both operational and strategic level, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and commercially successful, while also acting as a senior point of contact for key clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of large-scale façade and cladding projects from pre-construction through to final account
- Provide strategic oversight across multiple live projects, identifying risks and driving performance
- Manage and develop senior project teams including Contracts Managers and Project Managers
- Work closely with commercial teams to ensure profitability, cost control and financial reporting
- Act as the senior client interface, building and developing long‑term relationships across key accounts
- Lead programme management and ensure coordination across design, procurement and delivery
- Oversee change control, variations and final account strategy
- Drive high standards across quality, H&S and operational delivery
- Support the wider business in developing repeat work and strengthening key client partnerships
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience operating at Senior Contracts Manager or Project Director level within façade or building envelope contracting
- Strong track record delivering large, complex construction projects, ideally within data centre or major commercial environments
- Excellent commercial awareness and experience managing high‑value project portfolios
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands‑on delivery level
- Strong client-facing ability with a focus on building long‑term relationships
- Able to travel across the UK with occasional European travel
