An Energy Account Manager local to Warwick is required to manage a portfolio of key commercial energy clients, providing expert advice on energy procurement, electricity and gas purchasing strategies, wholesale market activity and risk management, across the agricultural & farming markets.
This is a client-facing role focused on building long-term relationships, helping customers make informed commercial decisions and ensuring they maximise value from their energy strategy.
Working closely with technical specialists and internal delivery teams, the Energy Account Manager will provide practical advice across procurement, contract negotiations, compliance schemes and wider energy opportunities.
The successful candidate will become a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business objectives and delivering a proactive, high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of key commercial energy accounts and act as the primary point of contact for all client enquiries.
- Develop strong relationships with clients by understanding their operations, commercial objectives and energy requirements.
- Provide expert advice on electricity and gas procurement strategies.
- Support clients with wholesale energy market insights and purchasing decisions.
- Advise on contract structures, pricing options and risk management strategies.
- Monitor market developments and communicate relevant opportunities and risks to clients.
- Assist clients with energy strategy planning including cost reduction initiatives and energy generation opportunities.
- Support contract renewals and negotiations with suppliers and third-party providers.
- Liaise with energy suppliers, brokers, metering providers and other external stakeholders.
- Resolve supplier, billing, metering and contractual issues promptly and professionally.
- Support clients with energy compliance schemes including FIT, ROC, REGO, Capacity Market and RHI.
- Coordinate with internal technical specialists to ensure clients receive accurate and timely advice.
- Identify opportunities to improve client performance through energy efficiency and wider energy solutions.
- Support business development activity by providing technical knowledge and account insight where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and detailed documentation of client interactions and recommendations.
- Ensure excellent levels of customer service and client retention through proactive account management.
- Travel to client sites across the UK as required.
- Preferred Ideal Experience & Skills Required
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following
- Previous experience within the energy industry in an Account Management, Energy Consultancy or Client Relationship role.
- Agricultural or farming industry exposure or knowledge of would also be beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of electricity and gas procurement.
- Good understanding of wholesale energy markets and purchasing strategies.
- Experience advising commercial clients on energy contracts and procurement options.
- Knowledge of energy compliance and incentive schemes including FIT, ROC, REGO, Capacity Market or RHI would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to explain technical or commercial information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance risk and opportunity.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Confident working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office including Excel.
- Ability to analyse energy data and market information.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK with occasional overnight stays.
