The Senior HV/LV Training Consultant plays a pivotal role in delivering and developing high-quality HV and LV electrical training. Operating within industry regulations and health and safety guidelines, the Senior HV/LV Training Consultant ensures that training meets national standards and evolving client requirements. The role involves delivery across training centres and customer premises both in the UK and occasionally overseas. This position is focused on providing expert-led training on HV and LV systems, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of course content and structure. The Senior HV/LV Training Consultant ensures each training event is aligned with relevant legislation and best practice, while also supporting the broader growth of the technical training team by mentoring and maintaining accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver HV/LV training courses in line with legislation, HSE guidance, and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Provide instruction on both standard and bespoke training courses to diverse client groups.
  • Conduct candidate assessments in accordance with pre-established criteria.
  • Develop new courses and adapt existing ones to meet bespoke customer requirements.
  • Deliver training at dedicated centres or customer locations across the UK and occasionally overseas.
  • Maintain professional standards and contribute to improvements in training delivery and facility development.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with City & Guilds and other awarding body requirements.
  • Participate in staff planning and resource allocation for training delivery.
  • Review and update training material to ensure accuracy with current legislation and training requirements.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the training team.
  • Assist in standardising HV/LV course content to align branding and consistency across offerings.
  • Identify changes in legislation or customer need to develop new or revised course offerings.

Ideal Experience & Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience working with HV and LV electrical systems.
  • Proven experience delivering technical training to groups or individuals.
  • Strong knowledge of current electrical legislation and safety standards.
