This Senior Mechanical Systems Trainer / Training Consultant role based local to York, Slough or Livingston involves delivering mechanical systems and confined spaces training courses that meet current legislation, health and safety guidance, and industry best practice. The role requires someone who can confidently assess candidates, develop course content and maintain high-quality standards. This is a position suited to an experienced hands‑on engineer with strong technical knowledge across Mechanical Services, Building Services or HVAC & who enjoys working with a wide range of learners across multiple locations and wanting to help develop the current and forthcoming talent in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver training courses in line with current legislation and safety guidelines.
  • Assess candidate performance against set criteria.
  • Develop and deliver bespoke and open training sessions.
  • Maintain training documentation and ensure content is up to date.
  • Ensure compliance with awarding body requirements.
  • Support planning for staff and resource allocation.
  • Promote and enhance the training centre’s profile and offering.

Preferred Ideal Experience & Skills Required

  • Previous hands‑on experience working as a Mechanical, Building services or HVAC Engineer.
  • Strong understanding of current safety legislation and industry standards.
  • Ability to assess candidate performance effectively.
  • Confident delivering training to varied audiences.
  • Previous experience delivering any training or coaching would be hugely beneficial.
