Flat Roofing Contracts Manager

Reymas Group are working with a Merseyside based Roofing Contractor who are looking to hire an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. Our client operates within the North West in the commercial and industrial sectors. They boast a strong heritage and background within their space and are specifically known for their high-quality workmanship and professional service.

Remuneration Package: Between £55K - £65K, Negotiable (dependent on experience) + Company Vehicle, Private Medical Healthcare, Pension, Travel Expenses, Bonus Scheme (End of year).

Location: Covering the North West and Surrounding Areas (Lancashire, Merseyside, North Wales, Cheshire and Occasionally North Midlands).

Role Overview: The Contracts Manager position presents an opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee the financial and operational management of ongoing projects. Working closely with the Senior Contracts Manager, this role combines office-based administrative work with regular site visits, ensuring all projects are executed to the highest standards. A strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach are essential for success in this role. As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. This involves overseeing health and safety protocols, managing resources, liaising with clients, and ensuring all contractual obligations are met. The position plays a crucial role in maintaining company standards and meeting ISO quality and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct scheduled site visits to ensure contracts are implemented safely, efficiently, and within budget.
• Engage with clients at all project stages, from initiation through to completion, to ensure satisfaction and clear communication.
• Inspect completed work for quality assurance and arrange for snagging, remedial works, and formal handbacks as necessary.
• Maintain strict adherence to Health and Safety requirements, briefing all operatives (both employees and subcontractors) prior to project commencement.
• Manage stock levels on-site and at the warehouse, coordinating timely material deliveries as needed.
• Oversee plant hire and ensure all project resources are well-maintained and accounted for.
• Keep site files and project registers updated with all required information and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project progress.

Experience & Skills Required:

• Demonstrable experience in a Contracts Manager role or similar, with a strong focus on budget and timeline management.
• Experience of working on Flat Roofing packages.
• Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction sector.
• Strong organisational skills with experience in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing client and contractor relationships.
• Familiarity with ISO9001 and ISO 14001 procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
