Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain transport planning and scheduling models for operational planning, resource management, network reviews, and future initiatives
  • Analyse operational, customer, and scheduling data to identify trends, risks, and actionable recommendations
  • Create and enhance databases, reporting tools, automation processes, and planning resources for accuracy and visibility
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to support planning projects, operational queries, schedule reviews, and service improvements
  • Utilise SQL, VBA, Excel, and other business systems to streamline processes and support continuous improvement
  • Produce clear reports and insights to help stakeholders understand performance and capacity requirements
  • Support maintenance of scheduling data, documentation, and training materials to ensure consistency
  • Contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing across the Scheduling function

Key requirements

  • Experience with transport planning, scheduling, or modelling software such as Paragon or comparable solutions
  • Ability to work with data using SQL, Excel, Power Query, VBA or similar
  • Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail and structured problem-solving
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to diverse audiences
