Lead the engineering team, achieving high levels of engagement, promoting a resilient, diverse, high performing team. Identify resources required to fulfil projects, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress. Act as an internal liaison with relevant departments to ensure business requirements are met. Provide technical leadership and make robust decisions on complex engineering risks and solutions. Manage the operational aspects of all projects daily. Implement and promote lean processes to streamline operations and eliminate waste. Develop project plans and track deliverables using appropriate tools. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing. Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders, including issues and solutions. Ensure quality standards are maintained as gatekeeper. Champion continuous improvement initiatives and coach others in contributing to ongoing improvements. Manage the introduction of new products using the company's Advanced Product Quality Planning process.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Leadership experience in engineering within an international business
- Broad technical experience in engineering, with knowledge of engineering approaches
- Experience in Hydraulics is preferred
- Change management experience
- Excellent communication skills across all levels and cultures
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
- Proactive issue resolution skills
- Effective influencing skills to lead and motivate
