The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.

Maintaining comprehensive knowledge and understanding of trends in manufacturing, methodology and systems engineering.

Developing an understanding of the company products, customers, competitors, suppliers and the business environment.

Actively pursue continuous improvement activities and support development of BPS and First Time Quality.

Supporting customer visits, quality enquiries, process change and new product prove outs.

Pro-actively designing quality into the manufacturing process using poka-yoke, FMEA, DFM/A.

Collaborating with other engineers and departments to implement corrective and preventative actions.

Liaising with MTM work study department in the preparation of route card standards to define process sequences.

Providing engineering support to project teams for the manufacture of prototype components.

Developing standard working methods for production processes including method sheets and work instructions.

Initiating the design and manufacture of tooling, selection of equipment and fixture requirements for new and updated component manufacture.

Liaising with the quality department on inspection equipment requirements, capability and gauge R & R studies.

Informing quality and SDE on non-conforming material issues.

Discussing tool store stock levels for existing and new tools with purchasing, initialising process for adding new tools to stock list as required.

Integration of industry 4.0.

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in mechanical engineering
  • 4 years plus industrial experience
  • Creo modelling experience would be desirable.
