Rexi Group is building a next generation AI platform and we are looking for a strong software engineer who can design and build production grade AI agents entirely in code. This is not a no code automation role. We want someone who understands programming deeply, including architecture, data flow, system behaviour, and reliability. Someone who can build intelligent agents that operate consistently in real world environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect and implement multi-step AI agents in production code
  • Design reasoning loops, tool orchestration layers, memory systems, and fallback strategies
  • Engineer robust structured data pipelines
  • Build scraping and browser automation systems
  • Integrate directly with LLM APIs such as OpenAI and Anthropic, managing prompt architecture, tool schemas, streaming responses, error handling, and cost optimization
  • Design systems that handle probabilistic outputs with deterministic safeguards
  • Implement monitoring, logging, evaluation, and feedback loops
  • Collaborate on long-term system architecture and scalability

Core Requirements

  • Strong programming foundation in a serious language such as Python, Go, Rust, Java, C#, or TypeScript
  • Deep understanding of data structures, clean architecture, modular system design, and asynchronous workflows
  • Experience building real production systems, not just prototypes or scripts
  • Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases
  • Experience working with APIs and distributed systems
  • Ability to design reliable logic around non-deterministic outputs
  • Comfort debugging complex, multi-component systems

Nice to Have

  • Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, or custom agent frameworks
  • Experience with vector databases
  • Experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium, or large-scale scraping systems
  • Experience deploying and maintaining production systems using Docker, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD
  • Experience building multi-agent or tool-using systems

What We Value

  • Engineering depth over surface level AI hype
  • Code first thinking
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Clear communication and structured thinking
  • Ownership mindset

How to prepare for a job interview at Rexi Group

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Rexi Group uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
