Overview
This is the role of Assistant Area Branch Manager, supporting the Area Branch Manager in leading the team and managing daily operations to achieve growth and enhance customer satisfaction within the Peterborough Branch and supporting across 6 additional branches within the wider Anglia region as needed.
Responsibilities
- Support branch performance by coaching and motivating the team, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring compliance with company and health & safety standards.
- Monitor key metrics (quote conversion, overrides, inventory) to drive improvements.
- Manage customer accounts, pricing and terms to protect profitability, and resolve operational or customer issues.
- Identify training needs, support promotional activity, and work closely with supply chain and finance.
- Prepare regular performance reports and step in for the Area Branch Manager as required.
