What will you do?

You will train across all responsibilities within a Branch Assistant Position which includes:

  • Providing excellent customer service to customers over the phone and face to face
  • Managing stock in and out – order processing, picking and packing, store transfers & stock control
  • Completing the paperwork within the office – raising quotations, following up on quotations & processing customer orders
  • Serving customers on the Trade Counter
  • Internal Sales – making sales calls to a portfolio of existing and new customers and work with the external sales team
  • Carry out sales administration duties
  • There will be a requirement to work in the warehouse, as such you may have to be involved at times in some heavy lifting whilst picking and packing orders and dealing with goods in/out loading delivery vans.
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge by learning and keeping up to date with new products entering the market

What we are looking for:

  • English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential
  • Good communication skills, with the confidence to interact with customers and colleagues both face to face and via the phone/email
  • The ability to follow instruction
  • The want to take on new roles and challenges
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to work to deadlines and manage own workload
  • Understanding that the customer is the most important element to working within branch
