We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our Brand-new Watford Hub, working Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 18:00. Role Description
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be supporting the Hub Manager by taking ownership of the team, ensuring that operational targets and SLAs are met, site Health & Safety is upheld and any team escalations are dealt with. You will supervise about 5 operatives across Warehouse operation, so ideally, you will have team lead or supervision experience from a Logistics/Distribution background, have great stock management knowledge and be able to effectively communicate across different stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities
- Supervising and supporting a team of operatives to deliver daily KPI’s
- Allocating workload, managing priorities and coordinating cover to meet dispatch deadlines
- Monitoring accuracy and quality, reducing picking errors and ensuring orders are packed correctly
- Coaching team members on processes, safe working and best practice to improve performance
- Ensuring goods are handled, stored and packed to prevent damage and maintain stock integrity
- Maintaining warehouse Health & Safety standards/Requirements & housekeeping
- Supporting stock accuracy through checks, investigations and basic inventory control tasks
- Using warehouse systems/scanners to track work and maintain traceability (where applicable)
- Communicating with internal stakeholders (e.g., customer service/transport/branch teams) to resolve issues quickly
- Communicating with external stakeholders such as Customers, Suppliers and External agency support
