Are you an experienced transport professional with a passion for compliance and operational excellence? Do you hold a Transport Manager CPC and have a proven track record in managing transport operations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join Rexel as a Transport Compliance Manager!
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of our transport fleet. You will hold the Operator Licence for the business and take responsibility for maintaining compliance with all relevant transport legislation, including the management of drivers, vehicles, and operational processes. Our Fleet includes company cars, LCV & HGVs.

As our Transport Compliance Manager you will:
- Act as the nominated O Licence holder for the company, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and monitor transport compliance policies and procedures.
- Work with the wider supply chain network of Transport Managers & Supervisors to ensure all vehicles and drivers meet safety standards and legal requirements, including regular inspections, maintenance, and training.
- Manage driver hours, tachograph records, and Working Time Directive compliance.
- Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify and address areas for improvement.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, such as the DVSA, and ensure all documentation is up to date.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the transport team, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
- Monitor fleet performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Stay up to date with changes in transport legislation and advise the business accordingly.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid Transport Managers CPC and experience as a Transport/Compliance Manager.
- In-depth knowledge of transport legislation, including the Road Traffic Act, Working Time Directive, and tachograph regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Experience in fleet management and operational efficiency complemented by proficiency in IT systems and transport management software.
