We are seeking an organised and efficient People Services Assistant to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our People Services department, you will provide vital administrative support to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery to our employees.
Responsibilities
- To deliver an efficient, compliant and exceptional service to minimum SLAs.
- Provide first line ER Advice to our employees
- Manage the People Services Team email and ensure all employee queries are handled in a consistent, confidential and timely manner
- Administer HR-related documentation, such as contracts of employment, addendum to contracts and employment references
- Maintain and update employment records on our ResourceLink system
- Process monthly changes to feed into payroll
- Collaborate with the People Partnering Team to understand local business needs and how we can support
- Promote a self-serve culture with our customers
- Participation in HR roadshows, showcasing the services we offer to our customers and how they can contact us
- Supporting with wider People projects and initiative
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal skills are essential
- Experience with SuccessFactors and/or Jira is highly desirable
- Experience with providing first line ER Advice on matters such as Performance & AWOL
- An understanding of HR practice, employment law and legislation would be an advantage
- Experience of HR information systems, e-forms and workflow processes, or equivalent systems.
- Gravitas and excellent people skills and the proven acumen to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities
- Experience dealing with highly confidential information
- Curious mindset with a drive to optimise processes and identify efficiencies
