Job Description

We’re looking for a proactive, technically confident Lighting Business Development Manager to grow our Lighting Design category across a defined territory.

You’ll win new category business, nurture key customer relationships and hand over projects to our design team for ongoing management.

  • Build and own a strong sales pipeline for your designated geographical area using market insight and customer engagement.
  • Target existing customers to develop new Lighting Design projects.
  • Present technical product solutions with clarity and confidence to customers, branches and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers and branch colleagues.
  • Communicate market trends, customer insights and opportunities back into the business.
  • Promote our own benefits for Lighting Design solutions.
  • Identify and develop strategic partner customers by geography and market segment.
  • Encourage and promote training and CPD to customers to strengthen relationships and product adoption.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the Lighting Designs arena and a working knowledge of Lighting Design software.
  • Confident to talk to customer partners about Rexels offer plan and value add services.
  • Strong technical understanding of Lighting products and installation requirements.
  • Proven experience developing a sales pipeline and achieving area sales targets.
  • Commercially focused with experience of managing CPM and supplier relationships.
  • Confident presenter and communicator with the ability to influence both technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, organised and able to work collaboratively with branch networks and cross-functional teams.
