You will pick and pack orders, using mechanical handling equipment to move palletised materials efficiently. Your responsibilities will include ensuring orders are accurate, packaged correctly, and dispatched on time, while maintaining a safe and organised work area. Handling heavy items and operating machinery safely are key aspects of the role, requiring attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety standards. Ideally, you will have strong warehouse experience and hold a valid & in-date Counterbalance licence, with 12 months of solid experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, check and store incoming Solar/Cable deliveries; label and put-away to correct locations to maintain stock order and traceability.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct quantities, lengths, and protection for transit.
- Facilitate all inward and outward stock movements for the hub following company procedures and using IT/WMS systems to update inventory.
- Carry out cycle counts and stock-takes, report discrepancies and help maintain stock integrity.
- Use mechanical handling equipment (counterbalance forklifts, pallet trucks, etc.) safely and in line with company procedures to move palletised drums and reels.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards: ensure cables, drums, reels and packaging are stored tidily and safely to prevent damage and trip hazards.
- Follow all Health & Safety policies and safe working procedures at all times, including correct lifting techniques, PPE use, and safe operation of equipment.
Qualifications:
