Job Description:

As an Apprentice Branch Assistant, you will gain experience across a variety of functions, including Warehouse/Logistics, Trade Counter, and Internal Sales. This isn’t just a job - it’s a chance to gain hands‑on experience, learn valuable skills, and build a solid foundation for your future career. You will be part of a tailored training program with dedicated study days and support from your training provider which is designed to help you succeed. Whether you would like to become a Branch Manager, excel in Business Development & Sales, or master Logistics, this apprenticeship will set you on the path to success.

What will you do?

  • Provide excellent customer service to customers over the phone and face to face
  • Manage stock in and out - order processing, picking and packing, store transfers & stock control
  • Serve customers on the Trade Counter
  • Internal Sales - making sales calls to a portfolio of existing and new customers and work with the external sales team
  • Carry out sales administration duties - raising quotations, following up on quotations & processing customer orders
  • There will be a requirement to work in the warehouse, as such you may have to be involved at times in some heavy lifting whilst picking and packing orders and dealing with goods in/out loading delivery vans
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge by learning and keeping up to date with new products entering the market

Qualifications:

  • English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential

  • Understanding that the customer is the most important element to working within branch
