About the Role

As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for reporting and analysing operating expenditure and margin, ensuring accuracy of financial data and providing valuable insights to stakeholders.

You will work closely with Finance Business Partners, Regional staff, and other key stakeholders to ensure financial integrity and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately report operating expenditure/margin, ensuring costs are correctly recognised with necessary accruals and prepayments.
  • Provide analysis of expected and actual expenditure, validating alignment with budget expectations.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of regional branch financial results, allocating costs correctly across branch cost centres; deliver variance analysis to Finance Business Partners and Regional staff.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation for accruals and prepayments; investigate and challenge discrepancies to maintain integrity of the financial ledger.
  • Manage the performance, development, training and succession planning of direct reports.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • CIMA or ACCA qualified, or actively studying towards qualification.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to identify trends and perform variance analysis.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, able to meet deadlines in a dynamic finance environment.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills to explain financial results to wider stakeholders.
