Re:work is exclusively partnering with Perk on this hire. This is a newly created role within the People team, focused on building how employee relations is handled as the business continues to scale. Reporting into the Head of People Partners, you’ll lead a team of People Advisors and take ownership of how case management works across Perk. As the business grows, there’s a clear opportunity to bring more structure and alignment across locations, and to build an approach that supports the next stage of growth.
You’ll shape how cases are triaged, how they’re handled, how risk is picked up early, and how it all connects back into the wider People strategy.
Why Perk
Perk is past the stage of figuring out how to grow. The focus now is on how that growth holds together as the business gets bigger and more complex. What started as a startup in Barcelona is now a $2.7 billion platform with close to 2,000 people across Europe and the US. The business is at $300M in annualised revenue, growing at 50% year on year, with a product that now spans travel, expense management and events.
It’s no longer early stage. Perk has established teams, a global footprint, and a product used by over 10,000 customers, but the pace is still high and a lot is still being shaped. That growth shows up in how teams operate day to day, with more people, more moving parts, and a greater focus on consistency and clear decision-making. There’s more demand from the business, more complexity in how teams operate, and a need for clearer, more consistent ways of working. This role sits within that shift.
Why this role now
As Perk continues to grow, the People function is evolving with it. Part of that is a clearer split between People Partnering and Employee Relations, allowing each to operate with more focus. This role is about building that ER COE capability from the ground up. The work spans multiple locations and functions, creating an opportunity to define a consistent and scalable approach as the business continues to expand.
You’ll shape how ER works across the business. What good looks like in practice, how quality is maintained, how risk is picked up early, and how the team operates day to day. You’ll also make sure what’s happening in cases feeds back into how leaders think about performance, structure and capability.
What you’ll focus on
- You’ll build and lead the new People Advisory team, and set the standard for how case management works in practice:
- Defining how cases are triaged, prioritised, and allocated across the team
- Setting clear expectations for how performance, conduct, probation, and grievance cases are handled
- Acting as the escalation point for complex or higher-risk issues
- Bringing consistency across locations, in line with policy and local employment law
- Using case data to spot patterns early and raise risks before they escalate
- Coaching managers to handle issues earlier, especially around performance and difficult conversations
- Hiring, developing, and setting the bar for a team of People Advisors
- Building processes, documentation, and reporting that support the business as it grows
You’ll work closely with People Partners to make sure what you’re seeing in cases translates into action, whether that’s org design decisions, capability gaps or leadership priorities.
Who we’re looking for
You’ve handled complex ER work in a multi-location environment, most likely within a fast-growing tech company, and are comfortable dealing with both detail and ambiguity. You’ve worked in environments where things weren’t fully built yet, and you’ve helped bring more structure and consistency as the business has grown.
You’re used to working with managers who don’t always have the experience or confidence to handle these situations, and you know how to guide them without taking over. You’re comfortable stepping in when things get more complex, have experience developing others in case management, and can stay organised while managing competing priorities. Experience across at least two of the UK, Spain, or the US matters here.
Location and compensation
This role can be based in London or Barcelona, with three days per week in the office. Compensation includes base salary, stock options, and a wider benefits package.
