Re:work is partnering with Trustly, a global leader in Open Banking Payments, to hire a Head of Total Rewards as the company continues to scale internationally. Trustly operates critical payment infrastructure used by some of the world’s largest digital businesses. As Pay by Bank continues to grow globally, the organisation is investing in the foundations that support long-term performance, including the way compensation, equity, and benefits are structured across the company.

Over the past year, Trustly has completed significant foundational work within Rewards, including rebuilding its job architecture, introducing a new compensation framework, and strengthening the company’s overall pay philosophy. The next phase is about ensuring those foundations continue to evolve alongside the business. This role will lead Trustly’s global Rewards strategy, ensuring compensation remains competitive, transparent, and aligned with business performance as the company continues to scale across multiple regions.

What matters most in this role

Compensation is a living system. As Trustly grows, reward structures must evolve alongside it, balancing competitiveness in global talent markets with fairness, transparency, and financial discipline. You will be responsible for shaping and evolving the company’s compensation philosophy, overseeing global pay review cycles, governing equity programs, and building strong reward analytics that support workforce planning and cost forecasting. Success in this role is not simply about maintaining reward frameworks. It is about ensuring compensation remains a credible strategic lever for performance, retention, and long-term business growth.

Who we’re looking for

You’re a senior reward leader who combines strong commercial judgement with analytical depth and pragmatic execution. You’ve likely built or evolved reward frameworks inside a scaling technology or fintech organisation and are comfortable partnering directly with Finance and executive leadership on compensation strategy. You’re confident working across complex international environments and have the credibility to challenge when necessary while maintaining trust with senior stakeholders.

A strong fit will likely bring:

  • Experience leading Total Rewards functions in international organisations
  • Deep understanding of compensation frameworks, equity programs, and incentive design
  • Experience partnering closely with Finance on workforce modelling and cost forecasting
  • Exposure to multi-jurisdiction reward governance, particularly across Europe
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with operational depth in fast-growing environments
  • Experience within fintech or similarly fast-paced global technology companies is strongly preferred, particularly within organisations operating at a comparable stage of growth.

Contract details

Preferred locations are London, Lisbon, or Stockholm, with flexibility for the right candidate. This is a permanent role employed directly by Trustly. Compensation will reflect seniority and experience.
