Would you like to join a leading, multi-award-winning interior fit-out and construction contractor that delivers incredible design & build projects for major clients within the commercial office environment? An opportunity has arisen to join a principal commercial office design and build contractor as Project Manager, to take responsibility for delivering fast-track, small-works interiors projects for a wide range of clients across London. Projects vary in size and complexity, but are generally up to £250,000 in value and involve small construction works, light refurbishments, ad-hoc interiors projects, office moves, relocations, reconfigurations, layout changes and redecorations.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Head of Projects, the Project Manager will have responsibility for the operational management and performance of the project(s).
- Ensuring works are completed safely to programme, budget and quality standards expected by the client in a professional and ethical manner.
- Adhering to commercial guidelines, established best practice and professional/company standards.
- Ensure project/contract risks are clearly identified and controlled.
- Ensure that all works including those of suppliers and subcontractors are supervised and coordinated to deliver on safety, quality, programme and environmental objectives.
- Ensure that the works are undertaken in accordance with all Health, Safety & Environmental legislation, policies and procedures.
- Manage subcontractors, service providers & operatives to construct the works safely.
- Ensure site inductions are carried out.
- Make efficient use of standard IT packages to efficiently manage own time.
- Understand contract objectives and communicate to site teams.
Requirements
- Qualifications and/or experience in construction management, interior design, project management or similar.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and how it relates to workplace construction projects.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers.
