Full-Time No working from home possible

We are working with an established specialist civil engineering contractor that is continuing to grow its presence across the North-East and is looking to add an experienced QA / QC Engineer to its project team.

The business delivers major civil engineering packages across some of the UK and Europe’s most technically demanding projects, with particular expertise across groundworks, piling, reinforced concrete, substructures, utilities and infrastructure.

This is a site-based role where you’ll take responsibility for ensuring works are delivered to the required quality standards, working closely with the engineering and construction teams throughout delivery.

You will be involved in:

  • Managing and maintaining QA/QC documentation and project quality records
  • Preparing and reviewing ITPs, inspection records and quality plans
  • Carrying out inspections across piling, groundworks, concrete and associated civil engineering works
  • Monitoring works against drawings, specifications and project requirements
  • Managing NCRs and ensuring corrective actions are closed out properly
  • Maintaining records for testing, materials, concrete and completed works
  • Working closely with Site Engineers, Project Managers and subcontractors to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Supporting project handover and compilation of final quality documentation

We are looking for someone with a strong civil engineering background, ideally gained with a specialist civils, groundworks or concrete contractor.

Experience working on data centres, substations or other major mission-critical/energy infrastructure projects would be particularly beneficial, although strong QA/QC experience across substantial civil engineering packages is the priority.

You will need to be based in, or within a sensible travelling distance of, the North East, with this being a predominantly site-based position.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established specialist contractor with a strong pipeline of technically challenging projects and genuine opportunities for longer-term progression.
