Some people are very good at keeping things organised. Which is great. But then there are those people who somehow manage to keep an entire bid team from descending into absolute chaos five minutes before a tender submission. This role is aimed firmly at the second type. We are working with a growing construction business looking to appoint a Bid Administrator to support their Pre-Construction and Estimating teams, helping coordinate tender activity across a busy and fast-moving environment.

The role will involve:

  • Managing tender documentation
  • Coordinating diaries and key dates
  • Handling supply chain quotations
  • Coordinating bid calendars, meetings and submission deadlines
  • Controlling and filing subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Supporting bid submissions and PQQ documentation
  • Assisting with presentations, meeting minutes and project information
  • Uploading/downloading information across client portals
  • Supporting the wider Pre-Construction and Estimating teams day-to-day

We are looking for somebody organised, proactive and calm under pressure, ideally with previous experience within construction, engineering or professional services. Previous exposure to bids, tenders or document control would definitely be beneficial, although strong administration experience and the right attitude are equally important. Strong Microsoft Office and SharePoint skills are highly desirable. This role will suit somebody who enjoys being busy, being relied upon and being part of a collaborative team environment rather than sitting quietly in the background processing paperwork all day.
