Estimating can feel thankless. Chasing numbers, guessing scopes, pricing in the dark and then, just as the puzzle starts to make sense, someone moves the goalposts.
We’re working with a growing contractor that knows exactly what they’re building and why. Their sweet spot? Carefully delivered refurbishments, restorations, and internal/external works all tendered with precision, all with values up to £1m. No white elephants. No bloated mega-jobs that drag on for years. Just solid, detail-focused construction that makes a visible difference to the places people live and work.
We are now looking for an Intermediate Estimator who gets a buzz from putting a tight tender together. Someone who knows how to break down a spec, spot the gaps, challenge assumptions and bring clarity to the table.
Here’s the deal:
- ÂŁ60k package
- London-based with a hybrid set-up (2 days in, 3 days out)
- Supportive commercial team who value what you do and won’t leave you flying solo
What we are looking for:
- A few years’ experience pricing refurb, restoration or fit-out works (ideally up to £1m)
- Solid understanding of internals, externals, and how buildings actually go together
- Someone who enjoys working closely with Directors and Supply Chain — not hiding behind spreadsheets
This isn’t about guessing your way through tenders or padding quotes to cover for bad drawings. It’s about working with people who respect the estimator and build from a strong foundation.
If you’re looking to be more than just “the numbers guy” - this one’s worth a conversation.
