Job Description
DOCUMENT CONTROLLER | £35,000 – £40,000 | LONDON | Sub Contractor | Permanent
Some jobs keep projects moving forward.
Some jobs stop them falling apart.
Document Control sits firmly in the second category.
We’re working with a specialist subcontractor in the drylining / joinery space who needs a Document Controller to bring order, consistency and calm across multiple live projects in London.
This is a hands-on role. You’ll be setting up and managing live job folders on Procore / SharePoint, controlling the flow of drawings and submittals, keeping trackers up to date, and making sure the right information gets to the right people at the right time. No drama. No chaos. Just well-run information.
You’ll be comfortable uploading and distributing:
- Internal and client drawings
- Submittals and RFIs
- Comments and mark-ups
- Health & safety documents
- Information to client portals following main contractor protocols
There’s also some high-profile project work, so confidentiality and security clearance tracking matters. And you’ll likely be juggling multiple projects at once – pretty standard territory for seasoned DCs.
Experience in a subcontractor environment (drylining, joinery or similar) would be ideal. And familiarity with systems like Procore, Asite, Aconex, 4P/Trimble, SharePoint, Fieldview or Team Binder will stand you in good stead.
Salary is in the £35,000 – £40,000 region, depending on experience.
If you’re a Document Controller who likes keeping things tight, tidy and on track – this one’s worth a look.
Drop me a message and we’ll take it from there.
