With a commitment to the highest of standards. With community in mind. They are now looking for a Head of Bids to take the reins of a high-performing team and push it to the next level. What’s the role? The Head of Bids will lead and take ultimate responsibility for the end-to-end bid function for their Planned Maintenance arm – covering everything from SHDF to Decent Homes, capital works to cyclical maintenance. You will sit at the heart of strategy, collaborating closely with directors, operations, commercial and pre-con teams. You will effectively manage a talented in-house team, bring consistency and creativity to the work winning process, and carry the flag for quality, compliance, and clarity in every bid that leaves the building. It’s a high-impact role. A visible role. And one with serious backing from the top. What’s needed? * A heavyweight background in social housing refurbishment or planned maintenance. * Experience leading successful, complex bids – ideally upwards of £10m – across local authority and housing association clients. * Strong team leadership and process development skills – someone who can elevate those around them and build a slick, consistent bid engine. * Confidence in the room and on the page – shaping messages, steering strategy, and presenting ideas with authority. Location, package, setup You’ll be based from their Essex offices, with the potential for some flexibility around hybrid working as things settle but your presence will be a big factor in the early days. The package is pitched around £100,000, with all the trimmings you would expect at this level. But beyond the money, it’s the kind of role that carries weight. The kind that offers influence. The kind that lets you lead, not follow. If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and want to lead bids for a business that’s respected across the sector, let’s talk.
