Salary: £25,000–£35,000 FTE per annum (pro-rated for part-time hours), dependent on experience. Performance-based commission available.

Hours: 16–24 hours per week (approx. 2–3 days) in 2026, transitioning to full-time (37.5 hrs/week) by 1 January 2027.

Rewild Safaris is a wildlife-focused safari company dedicated to delivering extraordinary, conservation-led travel experiences across Africa, Asia, the Americas, and beyond. We are building our UK team to serve the British and European market, and we are looking for a passionate safari professional to help shape that journey from the ground up.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Rewild Safaris as our first UK-based Safari Consultant. Starting part-time in 2026 and growing into a full-time position by January 2027, you will be central to launching and growing our presence in the UK and European market. You will plan and coordinate bespoke safari experiences for affinity partners and private travellers, acting as the go-to expert on wildlife destinations, conservation, and unforgettable travel.

The role requires occasional flexibility for evening or weekend client presentations and events, arranged with appropriate notice and compensated with time off in lieu, in line with UK Working Time Regulations.

Key Responsibilities Client & Partner Engagement
  • Communicate with UK and European affinity partners, their travelers, and private travelers to understand their preferences, interests, and budget constraints.
  • Provide detailed information on safari itineraries, including accommodations, activities, and transportation.
  • Respond promptly to client enquiries, ensuring high client satisfaction.
  • Attend industry conferences and partner presentations to meet new potential affinity partners and private travelers as needed.
Itinerary Planning & Logistics
  • Design tailored safari itineraries for British and European affinity partners and private travelers.
  • Coordinate with local tour operators to curate seamless travel experiences.
  • Ensure all aspects of the safari, including activities, accommodations, and meals, meet the client's expectations.
  • Collaborate with our Traveler Experience team to prepare travel documents and guidebook, coordinate entry requirements and travel insurance guidance, and ensure travellers receive accurate information regarding packing, health, and safety requirements.
  • Support the Traveler Experience team to work closely with local partners to maintain smooth logistics and quickly resolve any issues that arise during safaris.
Digital & Platform Management
  • Create online itineraries and share with affinity partners and private travelers.
  • Use of Rewild Safaris’ CRM and Safari Management software.
  • Work with Safari Consultant Administrative Assistant to create new destinations, accommodation, and activity pages as needed in our online itinerary builder software.
Wildlife & Conservation Knowledge
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation initiatives in our safari destinations.
  • Act as an expert resource to educate travellers about destination highlights, local cultures, wildlife species, and conservation efforts they will encounter during safaris.
Emergency Response

• Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team, supporting urgent client situations in the field.

  About You

We are looking for someone who combines genuine passion for wildlife and conservation with strong commercial instincts and excellent interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have:

• Prior experience in travel planning, tour operations, hospitality, or adventure tourism, experience with luxury safari or wildlife travel is a strong advantage.

• Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Confident communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with both individual clients and groups.

• A calm, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving, including in high-pressure situations.

• Confidence with technology: proficiency in standard office software; familiarity with travel booking or itinerary platforms is beneficial.

• A genuine passion for Africa’s wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation.

• Knowledge of major safari destinations, African wildlife, and local cultures.

• The ability to travel domestically and internationally when required.

A bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, or a related field is desirable but not essential — relevant experience and passion for the sector are equally valued.

• Salary of £25,000–£35,000 FTE (pro-rated for part-time hours), with review upon transition to full-time.

Employment Conditions

Probationary period: 6 months, with reduced notice terms during this period.

Notice period: 4 weeks (post-probation), or the statutory minimum, whichever is greater.
