Lead Test Engineer

Description
The Role
- Testing Strategy: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive testing strategies and plans to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. Ensure that testing is integrated into the development process.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure that testing is aligned with project goals.
- Test Automation: Oversee the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all software products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and security through rigorous testing and validation.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing team.
- Issue Management: Manage and prioritize testing issues and defects, working with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on testing progress, issues, and outcomes to the engineering leadership team.
The Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in test engineering with experience of leading teams.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of automated testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Typescript, Cypress.io, Cypress Cloud, BBD (Cucumber & Gherkin), Mailosaur, AWS, JIRA, TestMo) & a proficiency in developing and maintaining automated testing scripts and frameworks. Knowledge of API & Performance Testing.
- Agile Practices: Experience working in an Agile development environment, with a strong understanding of Agile principles and practices
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve testing issues quickly and effectively.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
