Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Insight Analyst to join our team, focusing on driving data-informed decisions for our retail partners. This role will be instrumental in understanding customer behaviour, market trends, and business performance to identify opportunities for growth and optimisation of our campaigns. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a knowledge of the retail industry and the ability to present findings back to clients in an actionable way that impacts business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Insight Generation

  • Developing data-driven recommendations for business strategy.
  • Use SQL to analyse customer behaviour, market trends, and loyalty programme performance.
  • Translate data into actionable insights to inform business strategies, marketing initiatives, and customer experiences.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Prepare written documents and slide packs to communicate analysis findings to internal clients in a concise and visual manner.
  • Deliver analysis results to internal clients in frequent face-to-face meetings and presentations, and from time-to-time in external client meetings.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience of analytics work in a marketing, retail, or ad tech context, working with data at large scale.
  • Sound mathematical and logical reasoning. Able to bring structure to complex problems.
  • Commercial focus – a broad interest in business, economics, retailer and consumer behaviour.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues clearly in writing, and face to face.
  • Presentation Skills – the confidence and ability to present complex problems to stakeholders in an actionable way.
  • Brings a methodical organised approach to tasks, maintaining attention to detail under time pressure.
  • Able to manage own time. Understands the importance of hitting deadlines and managing client expectations in a fast-paced, deal-driven commercial environment.

Technical Skills

  • SQL (Essential) writing and troubleshooting queries involving complex joins, functions, aggregations, subqueries etc.
  • Excel (Essential) creating and adapting spreadsheet models including complex formulae, charts, pivots, array functions, lookups etc.
  • Powerpoint (Essential) creating and adapting high quality presentations and reports for internal and external audiences.
  • PowerBI (Desirable) creating and adapting PowerBI reports for internal audiences.
