Over the last several years, Product and Engineering have set a course to improve the accessibility of our platform. This year, we partnered with the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) in the UK to ensure that our employee benefits platform is fully accessible for users regardless of their visual acuity. Most improvements were behind the scenes (in the code), but they have significantly benefited users with visual impairments and others.

With 12 million disabled people living in the UK, it’s unacceptable that over 70% of UK websites do not meet accessibility standards. We are committed not only to improving accessibility on our platform but also to raising awareness about this important issue.

What we’ve done

  • Improved Accessibility Statement – made it easier to read, while meeting legal requirements.
  • Created a new accessibility video explaining why accessibility matters, produced in-house by the Product Usability team. We encourage you to watch it!

Our Marketing team will help spread the word by preparing materials to raise awareness.

You can help us too! Sharing this video or blog post helps increase awareness and support for accessibility across the web.
