The Senior Insight Analyst is accountable for delivering advanced, sector-aligned analytics that deepen understanding of customer behaviour, media effectiveness, and revenue performance. Operating with minimal oversight, this role interprets complex behavioural and performance drivers, connects multiple datasets, and translates analysis into clear commercial recommendations. In addition to delivering insight, the Senior Insight Analyst defines and improves analytical approaches, ensuring scalable and consistent methodology across the team.
Responsibilities
- Advanced Customer Behaviour & Performance Analytics
- Lead deep analysis of customer engagement, transaction behaviour, retention, and response to media and loyalty activity.
- Diagnose underlying drivers of performance trends and campaign outcomes, moving beyond surface-level reporting.
- Identify behavioural and commercial optimisation opportunities within the sector.
- Connect customer, media, and revenue datasets to form integrated insight narratives.
- Insight Development & Commercial Application
- Lead complex analytics delivery for retailers within the assigned sector.
- Deliver decision-ready outputs for commercial and retailer discussions.
- Apply and refine established measurement frameworks to suit complex retailer scenarios.
- Escalate material risks or performance concerns with clarity and evidence.
- Media Effectiveness & Revenue Insight
- Interpret media performance and investment effectiveness within the sector.
- Provide commercially grounded recommendations on performance optimisation.
- Support performance marketing conversations with robust, data-led recommendations.
- Contribute to revenue performance interpretation and scenario discussions where required.
- Scalable Framework Development
- Define advanced methodologies that can be reused by the wider team.

- Experience
- 4–6 years’ experience in analytics, commercial insights, or customer data roles.
- Proven experience analysing customer, retail, loyalty, or media performance data.
- Technical Capability
- Strong SQL capability and confidence interrogating large datasets.
- Advanced Excel and experience using BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Comfortable working across integrated datasets and performance frameworks.
- Analytical & Commercial Capability
- Strong diagnostic and critical thinking skills.
