Data is at the heart of Reward’s business, and the Insights Director plays a pivotal role in transforming this data into actionable insights. Working in a dynamic and data-rich environment, you will analyse billions of purchase transactions and consumer behaviours, leveraging advanced analytics techniques to guide internal teams and key partners like Experian and Visa. Your work will have a direct commercial impact, from shaping market strategies for food delivery brands to advising retailers on expansion opportunities.
This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader passionate about driving business strategy through data-driven insights. You will combine deep technical expertise with strategic vision, guiding a team to deliver impactful insights that influence Reward’s strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Insight Generation
- Lead the insights team in developing data-driven recommendations for business strategy.
- Drive qualitative and quantitative research efforts, including customer behaviour analysis, market trends, and loyalty programme performance.
- Translate data into actionable insights to inform business strategies, marketing initiatives, and customer experiences.
- Produce thought leadership content that demonstrates the value of Reward’s first-party data.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Insight Delivery
- Partner with cross-functional teams (retail, banking, marketing, product, operations) to optimize customer experiences and improve business performance.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in an understandable and actionable manner.
Team Leadership & Innovation
- Mentor and grow a high-performing team of analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, research methodologies, and technological advancements to ensure cutting-edge insights.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Data Analysis & Statistical Techniques
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods and tools (e.g. regression analysis, segmentation, hypothesis testing) and experience with data analysis software (e.g. R, Python).
Data Management
- Experience with data management tools and platforms, including SQL, AWS, Excel.
Advanced Excel
- Advanced proficiency with Excel for analysis and reporting, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data modelling.
Business Intelligence
- Experience with advanced business intelligence (BI) platforms and data automation tools to streamline the insights generation process.
CRM & Customer Analytics
- Understanding of customer behaviour analytics, marketing attribution techniques, and loyalty program insights.
Product Metrics & KPIs
- Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product performance and iteratively improve upon it. Lead the analysis of product data to make informed decisions.
A/B Testing & Experimentation
- Knowledge of experimentation methods like A/B testing, cohort analysis, and other performance evaluation techniques.
