Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Retail Hub to lead our efforts in driving revenue growth, forging strategic alliances, and expanding our market share. This pivotal role will involve crafting and executing comprehensive sales strategies, building key partnerships, and aligning initiatives with organisational goals to deliver exceptional value to customers and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales leadership, strategic planning, and customer relationship management, with the ability to inspire teams, optimise performance, and foster a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership
- Inspire and lead a sales team to exceed targets and objectives.
- Provide guidance and foster a high-performance culture.
- Support new business acquisitions to drive growth.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Understand and anticipate customer needs to tailor strategies effectively.
- Lead a retailer-facing team, engaging with high-level contacts to grow revenues.
- Host quarterly stakeholder meetings with top clients to strengthen partnerships.
- Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to capitalise on market opportunities.
- Analyse trends to adapt strategies and identify profitable revenue streams.
- Act as the client’s voice within the organisation to guide strategic decisions.
- Team Management and Development
- Manage a team of 6-8 (including dotted-line insights analysts).
- Recruit, train, and develop team members while fostering collaboration.
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to ensure team success.
- Data Analysis and Optimisation
- Analyse performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement initiatives to enhance sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, senior management, and external partners.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as marketing, operations, and finance.
- Budget Management
- Oversee P&L for the Retail Hub, managing revenues, product mix, and team costs.
- Maintain accurate revenue forecasts and budgets while maximising profitability.
- Reporting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly sales reports, highlighting achievements and opportunities for improvement.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Extensive experience in commercial roles managing supplier or retailer relationships in loyalty, retail banking, payments, or related B2B sectors.
- Proven track record in both account management (growing existing clients) and business development (winning new business).
- Strong strategic leadership skills with the ability to anticipate opportunities and challenges.
- Demonstrable experience managing budgets and driving profitability.
- Consultative approach to enhance client experiences and identify new opportunities.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to adjust style to suit various audiences.
- KPI and performance-focused, with a strong commercial awareness.
