Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our finance leadership team.
This pivotal role will ensure financial integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency across all finance functions.
The successful candidate will lead statutory audits, oversee revenue assurance and cost recognition, and drive treasury and cash‑flow management. In addition, they will champion change management initiatives, particularly around the adoption of Sage Intacct and continuous process improvement.

Job Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team while working independently and proactively.
- Big 4 background strongly preferred.
- Experience in FinTech or technology-enabled industries is an advantage.
- Demonstrated success leading statutory audits in complex, multi-entity environments.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS; familiarity with US GAAP advantageous).
- Expertise in treasury operations, cash‑flow management, and forecasting.
- Hands‑on experience with revenue assurance and cost recognition frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and time‑management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
- Experience with Sage Intacct preferred; proficiency in other ERP systems also valued.
Job Responsibilities
Statutory Audit Leadership
- Lead and coordinate the statutory audit process, ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison between external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure timely delivery of audit deliverables.
Revenue Assurance & Cost Recognition
- Oversee revenue recognition policies in line with IFRS and industry best practices.
- Implement and monitor cost recognition and allocation methodologies for transparency and accuracy.
- Partner with operational and commercial teams to maintain financial governance and reporting integrity.
Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage day-to-day treasury operations, including cash flow, liquidity oversight, and forecasting.
- Prepare detailed cash‑flow forecasts and scenario analyses to support strategic decisions.
- Optimize working capital and ensure adequate funding for operational and strategic needs.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions, ensuring efficient transactions and compliance.
Financial Control & Reporting
- Drive month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all financial statements.
- Strengthen and maintain internal controls across all financial operations.
- Provide meaningful financial insights and analysis to inform strategic business decisions.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Champion the adoption and optimization of Sage Intacct (or similar ERP), enhancing reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify and deliver process improvements to streamline workflows and strengthen financial oversight.
