Your Role in our Mission
The Bid Director leads the Bid & Proposal Centre and is responsible for designing, governing, and continuously improving the end-to-end bid process. You will oversee the creation, review, and submission of high-quality, compliant, and commercially robust bids that differentiate Reward Gateway in a competitive market. The Bid Director operates as a cross-functional leader — working closely with Sales, Client Success, GTM, Legal, Finance, Public Sector, and Product to ensure we deliver bids that maximise win probability while protecting delivery integrity. This role owns the standards, processes, content libraries, and governance required for our bid function to scale.
As Bid Director, you will:
- Lead a high-performing bid organisation: Provide leadership, coaching, and strategic direction to our Bid Specialists and Senior Bid Specialists.
- Protect commercial integrity: Ensure all bids are commercially sound, deliverable, and aligned with brand, compliance, and financial frameworks.
- Increase win rates: Drive improvements in bid strategy, content quality, and value positioning.
- Be a trusted partner to Sales & Client Success: Support the Directors of Growth and Client Success to pursue competitive opportunities with confidence.

Flexible, Hybrid Working
Collaboration, connection as a team, and strong internal relationships are part of the "RG Magic" that makes our culture thrive. Our teams work from our Dean Street office two days per week.
What You’ll be Doing:
- Bid Strategy & Governance: Own the overarching bid strategy and ensure alignment with commercial and GTM priorities. Implement robust governance across all bids, including go/no-go processes. Create submission frameworks that support speed, consistency, and quality. Work with Legal and Finance to protect commercial integrity, risk management, and compliance.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead a team of Bid Specialists and Senior Bid Specialists. Provide coaching, development plans, and quality oversight. Build a culture of excellence, ownership, and collaboration.
- Bid Execution: Oversee end-to-end bid management — scoping, storyboarding, drafting, review cycles, sign-off, and submission. Ensure all proposals reflect Reward Gateway’s brand, value proposition, ROI framework, and differentiators. Manage timelines and ensure cross-functional contributions are coordinated.
- Content Excellence: Own the bid content library, ensuring it is accurate, current, and value led. Collaborate with Proposition Managers, Sales Enablement, and Marketing to ensure content and messaging alignment. Elevate quality of writing, formatting, and storytelling.
- Continuous Improvement: Review win/loss data to identify trends and implement improvements. Drive efficiency across the bid process using templates, automation, and tooling. Run bid retrospectives and share insights with the commercial organisation.
- Stakeholder Leadership: Partner with Sales leadership on major pursuits and strategic opportunities. Work closely with Public Sector specialists to navigate framework requirements. Align with Implementation and Client Success on delivery feasibility.
